My 5 Travel Tips for Long Flights

Going out to travel soon? It is pretty exciting to go out and venture and discover the other wonders of the world.
Travelling is fun and fulfilling but you should not stress yourself or should it be a burden.

So, that's why you're here to know my personal travel tips. I love to share it with you, of course and you've come to the right place.

Below are my travel tips for long-haul flights to get yourselves ready:

1. Wear Comfortable Clothing.

It's on top of my list because travelling shouldn't be stressful. Wear comfortably. You can wear any casual shirt paired it with leggings or any soft jeans. As for myself, I preferred leggings because it is stretchy and cosy. Just make sure you can move freely and restful throughout the flight (including transits). You can also opt for flats or any shoes that can be taken off easily and can walk in comfort.

2. Don't Hand-Carry Too Much.

Ideally, we are allowed to carry one to two bags on-board. As much as possible, limit yourself to one bag with you for personal belongings such as your wallet, passport, mobile phone, laptop, jewelries and whatever you need to bring with you during the flight. Just also be wary of the things that are not allowed on the aircraft. You might want to check that with the airline, too (just to be sure).

3. Hydrate.

One of the most important tip is to stay hydrated. Avoid caffeinated drinks and alcohol before, during and following the flight; even if you are on-transit. This can lead to dehydration and will leave you feeling drained. You don't want to look exhausted and knackered upon arrival to your destination. To help you look relaxed and tranquil, drink plenty of water.

4. Move Around.

Who wants to stay in their seats for the whole flight? Absolutely, no one. Long periods of time sitting can increase the risk of deep vein thrombosis. You are freely allowed to move around during the flight (unless otherwise advised to stay on your seat & fasten your seatbelt for landing), this will allow flow in your blood circulation. You can also do stretching while you are seated. Moreover, you may stand and move around for at least 15-20 minutes.

5. Pack Your Own Toiletries.

Some airlines will give you a complimentary toiletry kit such as eye mask, toothbrush & toothpaste, face towel, wet wipes, and even a pair of socks to keep you warm. Although such these will be given, you must bring your own, too. We are allowed to carry toiletries (liquids) for a maximum and total of 100ml. (check with your airlines, too). Make sure to pack these in a clear / transparent bag like the Ziplock bag and is within easy access. Trust me, you will need these in your travel.

There you go, starries! I bet you can't wait to pack up and enjoy your vacation. Share me your travel stories, okay? In the meantime, as it's almost midnight in here while I'm working on this, I leave you for now and I'll catch up with you again next time. Should you have any additional personal travel tips, feel free to leave a comment below. I love to hear from you.

XoXo,
