November 16, 2013 - was our 12th year anniversary as bf/gf! ^^ Though we tied the knot last February this year, I still value and treasure the date. Of course, i still honour it when I said 'yes!' to this man who made ligaw 12yrs. ago! hahaha ^^I remember weeks before the date, I asked Dy what his plans are and he mentioned random things, ang ending, wala'y plano. In my mind, I decided to cook good foods, buy ice cream and watch movies at home since it's a weekend (though we watch home movies every weekend). Simple and humble celebration - at least.
Not knowing, all these plans will never be materialised not for nothing or whatever but for a good reason afterall. We left Singapore for Cebu to Leyte without bringing any stuffs for ourselves (except our important docs.), all our luggages are relief goods. It happened so fast! We ended up not having enough sleep, not getting time to relax and unwind knowing that it's our day to celebrate..everyday, we're always on the go.
For the fact of being able to help and see their smiles is worth all of it. Instead of spending money to dine out and/or buy good foods or ice cream; we spent and added it for the relief goods.. Trust me, it can never be compared to the smiles that you see.. every repeated thank you's that you heard, their feeling of ease that somehow, someone out there is available to assist them in this trying times and being able to feel delighted at the same time; it's indescribable.
Bottom line, celebrating our anniversary together with the people in need is extraordinarily worthwhile & rewarding. ^_^
